13. Pinch bolt at intermediate steering shaft.

Support right and left sides of frame with jackstands.
14. Right frame to body bolts.
15. Left frame to body bolts, and adjust jackstand to lower left side of frame.
16. Transaxle mount and mount support.
17. Lower the left side of engine/transaxle using J 28467-A.
18. Two clamps holding wiring harness to transaxle mount bracket.
19. Transaxle mount bracket.

Position drain pan under transaxle.
20. Case side cover pan and gasket.
CLEAN
^
Case and side cover gasket surfaces.
INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Case side cover pan and gasket.
2. Case side cover bolts and channel plate flange nuts.
TIGHTEN
^
Bolts/screws and nuts to 14 Nm (125 lb. in.).
3. Transaxle mount bracket (start upper bolts first).
4. Two wiring harness clamps.
5. Raise left side of engine/transaxle using J 28467-A.
6. Transaxle mount and mount support.
7. Raise left side of frame and install four new frame-to-body bolts.
TIGHTEN

Transaxle mount to support nuts to 48 Nm (35 lb. ft.).
^
Support to frame nut to 44 Nm (32 lb. ft.).
^
Bracket to transaxle front bolts to 48 Nm (35 lb. ft.).

Remove jackstands.
CAUTION: When installing the intermediate shaft make sure the shaft is seated prior to pinch bolt installation. If the pinch bolt is inserted
into the coupling before shaft installation, the two mating shafts may disengage.
8. Pinch bolt at intermediate steering shaft.
9. Left inner fender splash shield.
10. Left lower ball joint.
11. Left drive axle.
12. Four bolts at hub and bearing assembly.
13. Left front disc brake caliper and bracket.
14. Left front tire and wheel assembly.

Lower vehicle.
15. Two bolts at top of transaxle mount bracket.
TIGHTEN
^
Bolts to 82 Nm (61 lb. ft.).
16. Crossover pipe.
17. Torque struts at engine mounts.
^
Remove J 28467-A, J 28467-90 and J 36462.
18. Negative battery cable.
19. Air cleaner assembly.
ADJUST
^
Fluid level.
INSPECT
^
For proper completion of repairs.
^
For proper fluid level.
^
For fluid leaks.
