Brake Pad: Service and Repair
Front

Brake Shoe & Lining Removal

1.

Remove caliper as outlined previously.

2.

Lift upward on outward shoe retaining spring of outboard shoe until it clears center lug, then remove shoe from caliper.

3.

Pull inboard shoe outward to disengage retainer springs from pistons, then remove inboard shoe from caliper.

Brake Shoe & Lining Installation

1.

Install inboard shoe into caliper, ensuring retainer spring tangs are fully positioned into pistons.

2.

Snap outboard shoe retaining spring over housing center lug, then install outboard shoe into caliper.

3.

Install brake caliper as outlined further on.
