Fuel Pressure Test Port: Service and Repair

Fuel Rail Assembly - Exploded View

NOTE:  The fuel pressure connection is non-replaceable, but is serviceable.

REMOVAL:

1.

Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2.

Relieve the fuel system pressure, refer to MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES/FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELIEF.

3.

Remove the fuel pressure connection cap.

4.

Using a standard valve core removal tool, remove the valve core assembly, and discard it.

INSTALLATION:

1.

Using the standard valve core tool, install the new valve core assembly.

2.

Connect the negative battery cable.

3.

Turn the ignition switch ON for two seconds, then turn it OFF for ten seconds.  Again turn the ignition ON and check for fuel leaks.
