Mass Air Flow (MAF) Sensor: Service and Repair
Mass Air Flow (MAF) Sensor
Take care when handling the Mass Air Flow (MAF) Do Not dent, puncture, or otherwise damage the honeywell located at the air inlet end of the MAF.
Do not touch the sensing elements or allow anything (including solvent and lubricants) to come in contact with them. A small amount of GM lubricant
(P/N=99855406) may be used on the air duct only, to aid in installation. Do not drop or roughly handle the MAF.
REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Disconnect 3 wire electrical connector.
2. Loosen clamp on intake duct.
3. Carefully remove MAF sensor.
INSTALL OR TIGHTEN
1. MAF sensor.
2. Intake ducts.
3. Tighten clamp.
4. Electrical connector.
