Hood Front Seal Replacement

Removal Procedure

J 38778 Door Trim Pad and Garnish Clip Remover

1. Open the hood.
2. Remove the hood insulator pad. Refer to Hood Insulator Replacement  (See: Doors, Hood and Trunk/Hood/Hood Insulator / Pad/Service and

Repair) .

3. Remove the clip retainers from the push-in retainers using J 38778.
4. Remove the front air seal from the hood insulator pad.

Installation Procedure

1. Position the front hood air seal to the hood insulator pad.
2. Install the clip retainers to the push-in retainers, pressing on until fully seated.
3. Install the hood insulator pad. Refer to Hood Insulator Replacement  (See: Doors, Hood and Trunk/Hood/Hood Insulator / Pad/Service and Repair

) .

4. Close the hood.
