Parking Brake Cable: Service and Repair
Park Brake Cable Replacement (Left Rear)

Removal Procedure

Tools Required
-

J 37043 Park Brake Cable Release Tool

1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Loosen the brake cable at the equalizer.

3. Remove the left rear cable from the front cable at the connector clip.
4. Remove the cable from the front cable guide.
5. Use the J 37043 in order to remove the cable from the rear underbody bracket.

6. Remove the cable from the backing plate and the parking brake lever. Refer to Brake Shoe Replacement.
7. Remove the cable from the vehicle.
