Coolant Level Indicator Lamp: Description and Operation
The low coolant indicator receives battery voltage when the ignition switch is in the following positions:

RUN
^
BULB TEST
^
START
The instrument cluster activates the indicator for approximately 1 second during engine start up in order to perform a bulb check. The engine coolant
level indicator module grounds the indicator when the coolant level in the coolant reservoir is below the recommended level.
