Glove Compartment Lock: Service and Repair
Instrument Panel Compartment Lock Cylinder Replacement
REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Instrument panel compartment lock cylinder from compartment door.
2. Insert key into instrument panel compartment lock cylinder and rotate instrument panel compartment lock cylinder to locked position.
3. Key from instrument panel compartment lock cylinder.
4. Depress silver key tumbler by inserting a small flatbladed tool through side hole in instrument panel compartment lock cylinder
5. Reinsert key into instrument panel compartment lock cylinder while depressing silver key tumbler.
6. Turn instrument panel compartment lock cylinder clockwise and remove instrument panel compartment lock cylinder and keys.
INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Depress silver key tumbler and insert key to lock cylinder.
Important

Latch handle must be open to allow for installation.
2. Cylinder and key to latch.
3. Relock latch (rotor) and rotate key to unlock position.
4. Remove key from lock cylinder.
5. Lock to instrument panel compartment door.
