Radiator Hose: Service and Repair
Radiator Inlet Hose Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

Tools Required 
-

J38185 Hose Clamp Pliers

1. Partially drain the coolant. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System.
2. Remove the left diagonal brace. Refer to Upper Diagonal Brace in Body and Frame.

3. Disconnect the inlet hose from the thermostat housing using the J38185.
4. Disconnect the inlet hose from the radiator using the J38185.
5. Remove the inlet hose.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE 

1. Install the inlet hose in position and align the marks on the hose.
2. Connect the inlet hose to the radiator using the J38185.
3. Connect the inlet hose to the thermostat housing using the J38185.
4. Install the left diagonal brace. Refer to Upper Diagonal Brace Replacement in Body and Frame.
5. Refill the coolant. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System.

IMPORTANT:  To properly fill the system you must use the air bleed vents. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System.
