Headlamp Switch: Service and Repair

Headlamp Switch (Typical)

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT

1. Instrument panel cluster trim plate. 
2. Headlamp switch from instrument panel by depressing locking tabs using a small flat-bladed tool.
3. Electrical connector.

INSTALL OR CONNECT

1. Electrical connector.
2. Headlamp switch by snapping into instrument panel.
3. Instrument panel cluster trim plate.

After replacing a headlamp switch due to an external short, cycle the headlamp switch and the interior light dimmer switch on and off twice to
activate the internal circuit protection feature of the switch. All interior lights with not operate if the headlamp switch has not been cycled.
