NOTICE:  Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the automatic transaxle range selector cable to the automatic transaxle range selector lever.
4. Adjust the automatic transaxle range selector cable if necessary. Refer to AT Range Selector Cable Adjustment.
5. Install the throttle body air inlet duct. Refer to Powertrain Management.

Shift Indicator Cable Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

1. Lower the steering column. Refer to Steering Wheel and Column On-Vehicle Service.
2. Pull out the shifter indicator cable clip from the square hole in the steering column at the top.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

IMPORTANT:  Ensure the cable is NOT pinched during the installation procedure.

1. Route the shift indicator cable down from the instrument cluster.
2. Route the shift indicator cable underneath the shifter cable and along the side of the column.
3. Slide the shift indicator cable through the slot.
