Loose Lumber Noise from Rear of Vehicle (Replace Rear Coil Springs)

Condition
Some vehicles assembled between VIN breakpoints indicated above may exhibit a loose lumber type noise most apparent during low speed operation
over an irregular road surface.
Cause
Noise generated by coils of rear springs contacting one another and being transmitted into vehicle passenger compartment.
Correction
Replace existing rear coil springs with new springs following applicable service procedure in the Service Manual, Section 3D, Rear Suspension. Proper
new spring selection can be made by identifying existing springs by the three letter code on the tag attached to springs and referencing chart.
