Condition
Some vehicles may exhibit a thud/clunk type noise apparent during acceleration or braking maneuvers when the fuel tank is filled between 3/4 and full.
Cause
Fuel mass, as it shifts within the fuel tank, is colliding with the large radii at the ends of the fuel tank.
Correction
Replace existing fuel tank and fuel sender assemblies with new components indicated below following applicable Service Manual procedures, Section
6C.
