Seals and Gaskets: Service and Repair
1.
Raise vehicle and support vehicle.
2.
Remove wheel, then inner splash shield.
3.
Remove tie rod and ball joint from steering knuckle.
4.
Remove drive axle from transaxle.
5.
Pry out axle seal using clutch shaft inner bearing remover tool, tool No. J 34115.
6.
Reverse procedure to install. Install new seal using seal installer tool No. J 34115. When installing axle shaft into transaxle, do not let shaft splines
contact seal or damage to seal may occur.
