For manual rear lift gates without power door lock actuator attached to the lock cylinder, remove and discard lock cylinder retaining clip.
Before you install the power door lock actuator, P/N 10242895, remove the black electrical portion of the actuator by bending the retaining
tabs. (See Figure 1, Item 4.) Discard actuator motor (See Figure 1, Item 3). With the key cylinder in position, install the actuator bracket to
the key cylinder. (See Figure 1, Item 5.)

Install the reinforcement, P/N 10268275, behind actuator. (See Figure 1, Item 1.)

7.

Using the hole in the reinforcement bracket as a template, drill a 3/16" (5 mm) inch hole through the inner panel. Rivet the reinforcement to the
inner panel using P/N 10125439. (See Figure 1, Item 2.)

8.

Reinstall bell crank.

9.

Check operation of lock for proper operation.

10.

Reinstall high mount stop lamp, water deflector, trim panel and assist strap.
