Exhaust Manifold: Service and Repair
Removal
Left Side (Front)
Exhaust Manifold
REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Negative battery cable.
2. Two bolts attaching left exhaust manifold to right exhaust manifold.
3. Spark plug wires from spark plugs.
4. Manifold bolts.
5. Oil level indicator tube and indicator.
6. Manifold.
Right Side (Rear)
Exhaust Manifold
REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Negative battery cable.
2. Spark plug wires from spark plugs.
3. Throttle cable bracket.
4. Crossover pipe heat shield.
5. Transaxle oil level indicator and indicator tube.
6. Oxygen sensor lead.
7. Two bolts attaching right exhaust manifold to left exhaust manifold.
8. Plastic vacuum tank mounted on cowl.
9. Raise vehicle and suitably support.
10. Catalytic converter heat shield and pipe hanger.
11. Front exhaust pipe to exhaust manifold attaching nuts.
