Coasting Richer System Component Descriptions
Accelerator Switch
This switch, connected to the linkage, is turned ON when the accelerator pedal is not depressed and is turned OFF and opens the circuit when the
accelerator pedal is depressed.
Inhibitor Switch
This switch, installed on the automatic transmission shift lever, turns ON when the transmission is shifted into drive, low or second. When this
switch turns ON, the coasting richer circuit is energized.
Transmission Neutral Switch
The switch, installed on the shift quadrant, turns ON when the transmission is shifted into any gear and turns OFF when shifted into neutral. When
this switch turns ON, the coasting richer circuit is energized.
Transmission Switch
This switch, installed on the transmission gear box, turns on when the transmission is shifted into 3rd or 4th gear. When this switch turns ON, the
coasting richer circuit is energized.
