Drive Belt Replacement

Special Tools

EN-48932 - Hydraulic Belt Tensioner Compressor

For equivalent regional tools, refer to Special Tools   (See: Tools and Equipment).

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement   (See: Tune-up and Engine Performance Checks/Air Cleaner

Housing/Service and Repair).

Note:  the tensioner stop is critical and must be removed prior to Compressing the drive belt tensioner spring.

2. If equipped, remove the tensioner stop fastener (1) and stop (2).
3. Install the EN-48932 - compressor to the drive belt tensioner spring.
4. Compress the drive belt tensioner spring fully using the EN-48932 - compressor.
