Spare Tire Hold Down Stud Sticks Up Through Load Floor (Install Nut)

Condition
Some customers may comment that the stud for the spare tire sticks up through the load floor when putting heavy objects in the trunk.
Cause
This condition may occur when the rear compartment floor sags under load, allowing the stud to protrude through the load floor.
Correction
Important
Do not replace the rear compartment load floor panel for this condition.
Obtain an additional spare tire retainer nut and install it upside down and flush to the top of the stud under the load floor.
