Oil Feed Pipes and Gaskets
REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Negative battery cable.
2. Raise vehicle on hoist.
3. Remove lower oil pan.
4. Remove filter assembly.
5. Remove 4 bolts attaching oil feed pipe assembly to transaxle.
6. Remove oil feed pipe assembly with the 8 seals.
Inspect

Inspect the oil feed pipes for plugged passages, bent pipes or cracks.

Inspect the oil feed pipe seal rings. Verify the proper location of seal rings. Replace these seal rings only if they are cut, swelled or damaged.
INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Install the oil feed pipe assembly onto the transaxle.
2. Install, hand start and tighten the four oil feed pipe bolts.
Tighten

4 bolts to 12 Nm (9 ft. lbs.).
3. Install oil filter assembly.
4. Install lower oil pan and gasket assembly. Refer to TRANSAXLE OIL PAN AND GASKET.
5. Refill transaxle with fluid to proper level. Refer to 4T40E OIL LEVEL CHECKING AND FILL PROCEDURE.
