Malibu V6-3.1L VIN J (2002)
1. Install the strut (1) to the vehicle.
2. Loosely install the strut to knuckle bolts (5) and nuts (3).
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
Important: Align the scribe marks in order to ensure proper alignment.
3. Install the strut to body bolts (3) inside the fender well.

Tighten the bolts to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).

Tighten the strut to knuckle bolts to 120 Nm (89 ft. lbs.).
4. Install the tire and wheel assembly.
5. Lower the vehicle.
