Canister Purge Solenoid: Service and Repair
Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Solenoid Valve Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Remove the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement (See: Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Fuel
Injector/Service and Repair/Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement).
2. Disconnect the chassis EVAP pipe (3) quick connect fitting from the EVAP purge solenoid. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service
(See: Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Fuel Line Coupler/Service and Repair/Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service).
3. Disconnect the EVAP emission canister tube quick connect fitting (2) from the EVAP purge solenoid. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect
