Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Tube Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Remove the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement (See: Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Fuel
Injector/Service and Repair/Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement).
2. Disconnect evaporative emission (EVAP) canister purge tube quick connect fitting (1) at the upper intake manifold. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick
Connect Fitting Service (See: Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Fuel Line Coupler/Service and Repair/Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting
Service).
3. Disconnect EVAP canister purge tube quick connect fitting (2) at the EVAP purge solenoid valve. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting
Service (See: Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Fuel Line Coupler/Service and Repair/Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service).
4. Remove the EVAP canister purge tube from under the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) tube and from the vehicle.
