Parking Brake Lever: Service and Repair
Park Brake Lever

REMOVAL PROCEDURE 

1. Remove the parking brake lever trim bezel.
2. Disconnect the parking brake switch electrical connector.
3. Loosen the adjuster nut (3) on the parking brake lever assembly.
4. Remove the cables from the equalizer plate (4).
5. Remove the three bolts holding the parking brake lever assembly to the vehicle.

Remove the parking brake lever assembly from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE 

NOTICE: Refer to Service Precautions. 

1. Install the parking brake lever assembly to the vehicle. Secure the parking brake lever assembly with three bolts.

Tighten the parking brake lever assembly bolts to 23 Nm (17 ft. lbs.).

2. Install the parking brake cables to the equalizer plate (4)
3. Connect the parking brake switch electrical connector.
4. Adjust the parking brake.
5. Install the parking brake lever trim bezel.
