Metro L3-061 1.0L VIN 6 TBI (1998)
1. Install the oil pump strainer (2) with a new oil pump strainer seal (3) to the cylinder block.
Secure the oil pump strainer with the oil pump strainer bolt and then the oil pump strainer bracket bolt.

Tighten the oil pump strainer bolt to 11 Nm (97 ft. lbs.).

Tighten the oil pump strainer bracket bolt to 11 Nm (97 ft. lbs.).
2. Apply a continuous bead of GM P/N 12346240 or the equivalent, to the engine oil pan mating surface.
3. Install the engine oil pan (3) to cylinder block. Use two nuts and fourteen bolts in order to secure the engine oil pan (3).

Tighten the engine oil pan nuts and bolts to 11 Nm (971 ft. lbs.).
4. Install the crankshaft position sensor (4).
5. Install a new gasket (5) and engine oil drain.

Tighten the engine oil drain plug to 35 Nm (26 ft. lbs.).
6. Lower the vehicle.
7. Refill the engine oil to specifications.
8. Connect the negative battery cable.
9. Start the engine. Check the oil pressure.
