EFE Heater: Service and Repair

EFE Heater Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the throttle body fuel injection unit. Refer to Throttle Body Assembly Replacement.
2. Disconnect the early fuel evaporation (EFE) heater (1) electrical connector.

3. Remove the EFE heater (1) and the gasket from the intake manifold.

Installation Procedure

1. Install the EFE heater (1) and a new gasket to the intake manifold.
2. Connect the EFE heater (1) electrical connector.
3. Install the throttle body fuel injection unit with a new gasket to the EFE heater. Refer to Throttle Body Assembly Replacement.
