Idle/Throttle Speed Control Unit: Service and Repair
ISC Motor Replacement
Removal Procedure
Notice: Check the throttle lever screw and the throttle stop screw for evidence of tampering before replacing the ISC motor. Perform the following 2
inspections:

Open the throttle lever to the full open position. Check that the yellow paint has not come off of the throttle lever screw.

Turn the resin cap of the throttle stop screw on the throttle body side with your fingers. Check the entire cap for damage.

Do not replace the ISC motor if any yellow paint has come off the throttle lever screw or if the resin cap is damaged. Replace the throttle body
assembly as a unit.
1. Let the engine cool to the ambient air temperature.
2. Remove the air cleaner. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement.
3. Disconnect the idle speed control (ISC) motor electrical connector (2).
4. Remove the three screws (1) and the ISC motor from the throttle body fuel injection (TBI) unit.
Installation Procedure
Notice: Do not supply electrical power to the ISC motor terminals before installation in order to avoid damage to the ISC motor.
