Metro L3-061 1.0L VIN 6 TBI (1998)
16. Steering shaft joint plastic cover by hand.
17. Reposition driver's side floor carpet.
18. Fill the power steering fluid reservoir with new power steering fluid, if needed.
19. Bleed the power steering system.

Inspect toe setting. Adjust as necessary.
Power Steering Gear Oil Seal Replacement
REPLACEMENT

Tool Required:

J 41379 Power Steering Rack Tube Nut Wrench, Or Equivalent.
Removal
Disassemble the following:
1. Power steering gear from vehicle.
2. Mount the power steering gear in a soft jaw vise.
CAUTION: Use caution not to overtighten the vise. The power steering gear housing can distort if excessive pressure is exerted on its
exterior. Mount the power steering gear housing at the mounting boss near the control valve.
3. Boot from tie rod by removing one retaining wire and one clamp.
4. Slide tie rod boot toward tie rod end.
