7. Install the direct clutch (2) and the second brake solenoid (1) electrical connectors.
8. Install the new fluid pan gasket, the fluid pan, and the fluid pan guard to the transaxle. Secure the items with 15 bolts.

Tighten the transaxle fluid pan bolts to 6 Nm (53 inch lbs.).
9. Apply GM P/N 12346004, or the equivalent, to the threaded portion of the transaxle drain plug.
10. Install the transaxle drain plug into the transaxle fluid pan.

Tighten the transaxle drain plug to 23 Nm (17 ft. lbs.).
12. Remove the drain pan from under the transaxle fluid pan.
12. Lower the vehicle.
13. Connect the negative (-) battery cable.
14. Refill the transaxle.
