Wheel Bearing and Wheel Hub Replacement (Wheel Bearing)

FRONT WHEEL BEARINGS AND/OR HUB

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

J 26941 Knuckle Seal Remover

-

J 2619-01 Slide Hammer

-

J 41392 Front Hub Support Inner Seal Installer

-

J 7079-2 Driver Handle

-

J 41391 Wheel Bearing Remover

-

J 22912-01 Split Plate Bearing Remover

-

J 38424 Hub Race Puller Pilot

1. Remove the steering knuckle from the vehicle. Refer to STEERING KNUCKLE.

2. Remove the inner and outer bearing oil seals using J 26941 and J 2619-01.
3. Remove the inner race and bearing from the knuckle (1).
4. Remove one snap ring from the outer side of the steering knuckle. 
5. Remove the outer bearing from the steering knuckle.

6. Remove the outer bearing race from the wheel hub. Use the J 22912-01, J 38424 and a press.
