Parking Brake Warning Switch: Service and Repair
Removal Procedure
Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Service Precautions.
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the parking brake lever trim bezel. Refer to Parking Brake Lever Bezel Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Warning
Indicators.
3. Disconnect the parking brake switch electrical connector.
4. Remove the one screw holding the parking brake switch (2) to the parking brake lever (1) assembly. Remove the parking brake switch (2).
Installation Procedure
1. Install the parking brake switch (2) to the parking brake lever (1) assembly. Secure the switch with one screw.
2. Connect the parking brake switch electrical connector.
3. Install the parking brake lever trim bezel. Refer to Parking Brake Lever Bezel Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Warning Indicators.
4. Connect the negative battery cable.
