Refrigerant Pressure Sensor / Switch: Service and Repair

A/C REFRIGERANT PRESSURE SENSOR REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

1. Disconnect the battery negative cable.
2. Remove the air cleaner and duct assembly.
3. Disconnect the electrical connector (2) from the A/C refrigerant pressure sensor.
4. Remove the A/C refrigerant pressure sensor (1) from the liquid line.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

1. Lubricate a new O-ring seal with mineral base 525 viscosity refrigerant oil.
2. Install the new O-ring seal.

NOTE:  Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the A/C refrigerant pressure sensor (1) to the liquid line.

Tighten
Tighten the A/C refrigerant pressure sensor to 4.7 N.m (41 lb in).

4. Connect the electrical connector (2) to the A/C refrigerant pressure sensor.
5. Install the air cleaner and duct assembly.
6. Connect the battery negative cable.
