Air Injection Vacuum Bleed Valve: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

1. Turn OFF the ignition.
2. Disconnect the vacuum hoses from the vacuum bleed valve.
3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the vacuum bleed valve.
4. Remove the nut that attaches the vacuum bleed valve to the mounting stud.
5. Remove the vacuum bleed valve.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

NOTE:  Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

1. Install the nut securing the vacuum bleed valve to the mounting stud.

Tighten
Tighten the mounting nut to 1O N.m (88 lb in).

2. Connect the electrical connector to the vacuum bleed valve.
3. Connect the vacuum hoses to the vacuum bleed valve.
