Crankshaft Balancer Replacement

J 37096 Flywheel Holder

-

J 38197-A Crankshaft Balancer Puller

-

J 45059 Torque Angle Meter

Removal Procedure

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the drive belt.
3. Raise and support the vehicle.
4. Remove the right front tire and wheel.

5. Remove the right engine splash shield retainers and the engine splash shield.
6. Remove the torque converter covers.

7. Install the J 37096 to prevent the flywheel from turning.
8. Remove the crankshaft balancer bolt and discard the bolt.

Important:  Do not separate the crankshaft pulley from the crankshaft balancer. Service the crankshaft pulley and the crankshaft balancer as an
assembly.
