7. For vehicles with disc brakes, use the J 37043 in order to remove the parking brake cable from the caliper bracket and the brake lever.
8. Remove the cable from the vehicle.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the cable into position.
NOTICE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
2. Install the rear mounting bolts to the cable clips on the rear suspension support.

Tighten the bolts to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).
3. For vehicles with drum brakes, install the parking brake cable to the backing plate and the parking brake lever.
