Seat Belt Buckle: Service and Repair
Driver Seat Buckle Side Belt Replacement
Removal Procedure
Description
Tools Required
J 29843-9 Door Lock Striker and Seat Belt Torx Wrench
1. Remove the buckle side belt bolt plug (5) from the sleeve.
2. Disconnect the following components when removing the driver seat buckle side belt (6):

The electrical connector (2)

The retainer (1)
3. Use the J29843-9 in order to remove the driver buckle side belt bolt (4).
4. Remove the driver seat buckle side belt (6) from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
Description
1. Install the driver seat buckle side belt (6) to the vehicle.
2. Install the driver seat buckle side belt (6) through the hole in the seat cushion on the split bench seat.
NOTICE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
3. Use the J 29843-9 in order to install the driver seat buckle side belt bolt (4).
Tighten
Tighten the driver seat buckle side belt bolt to 42 N.m (31 lb ft).
4. Connect the following components if the components are disconnected:
