Power Steering Pump: Service and Repair
Power Steering Pump Pulley Replacement

Tools Required:

J 25034-B Power Steering Pump Pulley Remover (Base ONLY) with
J 37609 Screw
J 25033-B Power Steering Pump Pulley Installer or
J 36015 Power Steering Pump Pulley Installer
J 37609-A Power Steering Pump Pulley Remover

Remove or Disconnect

1. Accessory drive belt. 
2. Pump from engine for clearance. 
3. Pump pulley using J 25034-B (Base ONLY) with J 37609 or J 37609-A.

Install or Connect

NOTICE:  Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be correct part number for that application. Fasteners
requiring replacement of fasteners requiring thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints,
lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping
force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to
parts and system.

1. Pump pulley using J 25033-B or J 36015.

Important:
-

Face of pulley hub must be flush with end of pump driveshaft.

Do not use arbor press to install pulley.

2. Pump to engine. 
3. Accessory drive belt. 
4. Bleed power steering system (if pump removed). 

Inspect

-

For leaks.
