Refrigerant Pressure Sensor / Switch: Service and Repair
Removal Procedure
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Discharge and recover the refrigerant.
3. Disconnect the A/C refrigerant pressure switch electrical connector.
4. Remove the A/C refrigerant pressure switch. Use a second wrench to hold the switch mount to avoid bending the liquid line.
Installation Procedure
Important:

Use new O-rings lubricated with 525 viscosity mineral oil.

Hold the A/C refrigerant pressure switch mount with an open end wrench to avoid bending the liquid line.
1. Install the A/C refrigerant pressure switch.
Tighten
Tighten the A/C refrigerant pressure switch to 10 N.m (7.0 lb ft).
2. Connect the A/C refrigerant pressure switch electrical connector.
3. Connect the negative battery cable.
4. Evacuate and recharge the refrigerant system.
5. Operate the A/C system and check for leaks.
