Cigarette Lighter: Service and Repair
REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the IP accessory center trim plate.
3. Remove the cigar lighter rear retainer (3) from the cigar element housing.
4. Remove the cigar element housing and element from the center trim plate by turning counterclockwise 90 degrees and pushing on the back of the
element housing.
5. Remove the cigar lighter lamp lens (2) from the center trim plate (1), if necessary.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
IMPORTANT: The cigar lighter lamp lens will not seat correctly if the grooves on the lens are not lined up with the grooves on the center trim plate.
