Backup Lamp Switch: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

1. Open the hood.
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
3. Disconnect the backup lamp switch electrical connector (2).
4. Remove the backup lamp switch (1) from the transaxle case.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

IMPORTANT:  The backup lamp switch should have pre-applied thread sealant on the threads.

1. Install the backup lamp switch (1) to the transaxle case.

Tighten
Tighten the backup lamp switch to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).

2. Connect the backup lamp switch electrical connector (2).
3. Connect the negative battery cable.
4. Close the hood.
