REMOVAL PROCEDURE

Rear Compartment Lid Switch Replacement: Removal Procedure

1. Remove the rear end trim finish panels..
2. Remove the rear compartment sill trim plate.
3. Disconnect the rear compartment lid lamp switch electrical connector.
4. Remove the following components from the vehicle:

The two bolts

^

The rear compartment lid lock striker (1)

5. Remove the following components from the lock striker:

^

The screw

^

The rear compartment lid lamp switch (2)

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

Rear Compartment Lid Switch Replacement: Installation Procedure

1. Install the rear compartment lid lamp switch (2) to the rear compartment lid lock striker. Secure the switch with the screw.
2. Install the rear compartment lid lock striker (1) to vehicle. Secure the striker with the two bolts.

Tighten
Tighten the rear compartment lid lock striker bolts to 5 N.m (43 lb in).

3. Connect the rear compartment lid lamp switch electrical connector.
4. Install the rear compartment sill trim plate.
5. Install the rear end trim finish panel.
