Headlamp Switch: Service and Repair

1984-85

1.

Disconnect battery ground cable and remove hush panel over fuse box.

2.

Remove screws securing hood release handle, then the lower steering column cover.

3.

Remove cruise control module and delay wiper switch knob and locknut, if equipped.

4.

Pull light switch to full on position, depress retainer on frame of switch, then remove shaft and knob assembly.

5.

Disconnect parking brake release cable, depress tabs on release handle and remove cable assembly.

6.

Remove headlamp switch bezel and retaining nut.

7.

Disconnect electrical connector and remove headlamp switch.

8.

Reverse procedure to install.
