Fast Idle Speed
FAST IDLE SPEED ADJUSTMENT
Automatic choke fast idle is adjusted by opening angle of throttle valve on carburetor, not by engine speed. Adjusted throttle valve opening at the
1st step of fast idle cam is 15-17° (M/T) and 17-19° (A/T). Under the following conditions, engine fast idle speed becomes approximately 3,200
rpm:
-
After engine is warmed up.
-
Vacuum lines for distributor, idle compensator, and EGR valves are disconnected and plugged.
