Removing Rear Brake Hose Fitting
3. Brake hose fitting bolt/screw, brake hose fitting and two gaskets only if caliper is being removed for overhaul.
A. Discard old gaskets.
B. Plug hole in caliper housing and brake hose fitting.
4. Upper caliper guide pin bolt/screw and discard.
5. Lower caliper guide pin bolt/screw and discard, only if removing caliper from vehicle.
6. Caliper housing from rotor and anchor bracket.

If caliper overhaul or replacement is not required, hang caliper housing from suspension to avoid damage to brake hose.

Inner and outer pads only if they are being replaced or if anchor bracket is being removed.
Inspect
A. Guide pins for free movement in anchor bracket

Replace guide pins or guide pin boots if corroded, worn or damaged.
B. Inner and outer pads for wear and maximum taper of 0.15 mm (0.006 inch).

Replace with new inner and outer pad sets if they are tapered beyond specification.
C. Brake hose fitting bolt/screw.

If through-hole in brake hose fitting bolt/screw is blocked, remove blockage or replace-brake hose fitting bolt/screw.
