CAUTION:  Thoroughly coat the bottom of the Ignition control module with P/N 1974984 silicone dielectric grease. Failure to do so could result
in premature failure of the module.

Lubricate the bottom of the ignition control module and the module rest pad in the housing with P/N 1974984 silicone dielectric grease or an
equivalent heat transfer substance.

1. ignition control module to the housing with two screws.
2. Pole piece.
3. Pickup coil.

Fit the tab on the bottom of the coil into the anchor hole in the housing.

4. Pickup coil wiring connector to the module.

Make sure the locking tab is in place.

5. Shield onto the coil.
6. Retainer.
7. Lubricate the lower housing bushing with a few drops of engine oil.
8. Shaft assembly into the housing.
9. Tang washer, washer, and driven gear onto the bottom of the shaft.

Align the marks on the driven gear, housing. and shaft assembly.

10. Roll pin into the gear.

Spin the shaft and make sure the teeth on the shaft assembly do not touch the pole piece.

11. Rotor onto the shaft.

Fit the tab in the rotor into the shot on the shaft.

Cap to the housing with screws and washers.
