When either a hose is reinstalled or replaced, the following points are essential:

Route return and feed hoses in the same position they were in before removal.

Route return and feed hoses smoothly, avoid sharp bends and chinking.

After return and feed hoses are installed, check for leaks while the system is being bled. Refer to "Bleeding The Power Steering System." 

NOTICE:  Do not start the engine with any power steering hose disconnected, or damage to the components could occur.
