Evaporative Emissions Hose: Service and Repair

EVAPORATIVE EMISSION (EVAP) HOSES/PIPES REPLACEMENT - CHASSIS/CANISTER
REMOVAL PROCEDURE
IMPORTANT: Clean all the EVAP pipe connections and surrounding areas before disconnecting in order to avoid possible evaporative emission
(EVAP) system contamination.
1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Disconnect the EVAP purge pipe from the chassis EVAP purge pipe.
3. Disconnect the EVAP purge pipe from the EVAP canister.
4. Remove the EVAP purge pipe from the clip.
5. Cap the EVAP purge pipe and canister in order to prevent possible EVAP system contamination.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Remove the caps from the EVAP purge pipe and canister.
2. Connect the EVAP purge pipe to the EVAP canister.
3. Connect the EVAP purge pipe to the chassis EVAP purge pipe.
4. Install the EVAP purge pipe to the clip.
5. Lower the vehicle.
