Ignition Lock Cylinder Case Replacement

Removal Procedure

Warning: Refer to SIR Warning   (See: Restraint Systems/Service Precautions/SIR Warning).

1. Remove the inflatable restraint steering wheel module coil. Refer to Steering Wheel Inflatable Restraint Module Coil Replacement   (See:

Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems/Clockspring Assembly / Spiral Cable/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement).

2. Remove the ignition/start switch. Refer to Ignition and Start Switch Replacement   (See: Service and Repair).
3. Disconnect the park lock cable from the ignition lock cylinder case.
4. Disconnect the passlock and key buzzer from the ignition lock cylinder case.

5. Remove the 3 ignition lock cylinder case screws (2).
6. Remove the ignition lock cylinder case (1) from the vehicle.
