Silverado 1500 2WD V8-6.0L Hybrid (2009)
2. Install the NEW rear housing gasket (1), rear housing with seal (2), rear housing-to-engine bolts (3) and oil pan-to-rear housing bolts (4).
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (See: Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings/Fastener Caution) .
3. Tighten the rear housing-to-engine bolts (3) until snug. Do not overtighten.
Tighten the oil pan-to-rear housing bolts (4) to 12 Nm (106 lb in).
4. Tighten the rear housing-to-engine bolts (3).
Tighten the bolts to 30 Nm (22 lb ft).
5. Remove the J 41479-2A .
6. Install the automatic transmission flexplate. Refer to Automatic Transmission Flex Plate Replacement (See: Transmission and Drivetrain/Flex
Plate/Service and Repair) .
Installation Procedure - Cover without Seal
1. Position a NEW rear oil seal housing gasket (3) and the housing (2) to the engine.
