Oil Filter Adapter: Service and Repair
Oil Filter Adapter and Oil Cooler Assembly Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Drain the engine coolant and the engine block. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (Vac-N-Fill) (See: Cooling System/Service and
Repair)Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill) (See: Cooling System/Service and Repair).
2. Remove the charge air inlet pipe. Refer to Charge Air Cooler Inlet Pipe Replacement (See: Powertrain Management/Fuel Delivery and Air
Induction/Turbocharger/Intercooler/Intercooler Duct/Service and Repair/Charge Air Cooler Inlet Pipe Replacement).
3. Remove the cooling fan shroud bracket bolts.
4. Remove the cooling fan shroud bracket.
5. Loosen the water pump outlet pipe nuts at the coolant pipe.
